El Nido Resorts, in partnership with millions of people in over 100
countries worldwide, participated in the observance of Earth Day on April
22, 2008. Ninety-six staff members from Miniloc and Lagen Island Resorts
volunteered to spend their off-duty hours picking up trash along
various beaches and in dive sites around El Nido. Afterwards, the tired
but victorious volunteers were treated to food and music at the Entalula
Island Beach Club. Manager for Environment Ms. Mariglo Laririt
thanked the staff for joining the cleanups and reminded them of how
important their time was to the success of the event. A slideshow of the
day’s photos and a video of last year’s Earth Day celebration capped off
the event.
